The Sun On Yee triad is based on a triad group, the Sun Yee On triads, one of the leading triads in Hong Kong and Mainland China, with the most members – more than 55,000 – worldwide. The Sun Yee On have two main rivals in Hong Kong, the 14K Triad and the Wo Shing Wo Triad. They are allies of the Hong Kong based Wo Hop To Triad. It is believed to be active in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, United States, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands and in the government of Guangdong province in Mainland China.
